Institut Francais Indonesia (IFI) is collaborating with L’Oreal Indonesia and Plaza Indonesia to hold a photography exhibition that will last until 8 April 2017. A total of 49 black and white photographs by the world class photographer, Pierre Boulat, will be highlighted at Plaza Indonesia’s corridor, in front of La Moda to be exact.
Managing Director of IFI Jakarta, Christian Gauje was proud to give Jakarta a different point of view when seeing the creations from the France designer Yves Saint-Laurent. Jakarta is the fourth city in Indonesia to have the exhibition, after Surabaya, Bandung, and Yogyakarta.
From the photographs, visitors can see a glimpse of Yves Saint Laurent’s experience during preparation on his debut and his first own collection in 1961. Boulat captured many emotions beautifully; Laurent’s excitement, pressure, creativity, passion, and anxiety. Later, Yves Saint Laurent was regarded as “the new genius in fashion world” by Life magazine fashion editor, Sally Krikland, thanks to the collection.
At the opening, YSL Beauty also introduced its newest collection; The Shock which includes Black Opium Floral Shock perfume, The Shock Volumizing Mascara, Eye Duo Smoker, Eye Gloss Smudger, and Couture Variation no. 4. Paired with attire from ESMOD, YSL Beauty also presented an elegant and striking fashion show at La Moda, Plaza Indonesia.
