Warung Turki Iftar Buffet: Ramadan Under The Turkish Stars


Warung Turki by Turkuaz is the place to go for a complete Turkish experience. Not only its for its  authentic wood fire oven method of cooking, and recipes from Chef/founder Sezai Zorlu’s hometown.

Throughout this Ramadhan, the chef has created an exclusive iftar dinner buffet to let guests sample all of Warung Tuki’s signature menus, highlighted by the emblematic velvety texture of the “Baby Lamb baked in Salt”, along with a variety of breads and devine Iskenderunian recipes. All reminiscing the Turkish deliciousness cooking.

warung turki_areaBreak your fast with a choice of appetizers that are commonly found in the Mezze Platter; from the classic hummus, to their signature Babaganuc made from Wood charcoal grilled aubergine, tomato, chili pepper and garlic, fresh Turkish salads, with hints of unique flavors of pomegranate sauce and sumac powder.

Pair the refreshing salads with the comforting Lavas Ekmegi (white puffy bread) bread fresh from their woodfire oven, the Peynirli Pide, Traditional Turkish village style thin pizza topped with homemade feta cheese, mozzarella and parsley, or the olive oil deep fried Boregi (Turkish pastry) filled with vegetables, chicken, or white cheese.

For the main course, the baby lamb baked in salt is surely not to be missed. Served with gravy, this whole lamb has been marinated with home made herbs and spices and baked in wood fire oven for over 3 hours. Other highlight is the mix grilled kebabs, consisting of sish kebab, Adana kebab , and grilled chicken wings. Or chef Zorlu’s signature Lamb shank with baked mushrooms, shallots and garlic served with butter rice.
