Running from the 15th to the 20th of this month, Ritz-Carlton Jakarta Pacific Place in collaboration with the Embassy of Mexico in Indonesia will celebrate the month of Mexican Independence Day by inviting Chef Julio Ortega for special promotions including a special Sunday Brunch on the 17th and Mexican Pairing Dinner on the 19th. Chef Julio Ortega will share a taste of the rich culture and beautiful flavors of Mexico through a modern Mexican set menu. Apart from the two days mentioned, selected authentic Mexican cuisine will also be available in the lunch buffet at the Pacific Restaurant and Lounge. Mexican Sunday Brunch starts at Rp. 398,000 ++ and the modern Mexican Pairing Dinner will be priced at Rp. 850,000 ++ per person inclusive of pairings.
Enjoy authentic Mexican cuisine like Aguachile negro (the infamous Mexican style ceviche), Tamal de Pollo (the legendary chicken tamale), La Milpa (combination of corn in 4 textures) and so much more.
Chef Julio mastered the gastronomic cooking style when he studied in the prestigious Colegio Superior de Gastronomia. He made his international debut in 1997 in Basel Switzerland and has since then participated in culinary Olympics in 2000 while also heading the culinary team of Hotel Cortijo la Reina in 2002. He has travelled to Indonesia in 2015 to introduce Mexican cuisine, and he is doing it again now with much anticipation from loyalists of true-blue Mexican cuisine.
