The Westin Jakarta held the first food promotion at Seasonal Tastes restaurant located at Level 51 with “Food for the SeOUL” the ultimate Taste of Korea. Flying in 2 guest Chefs from JW Marriott SeouL Chef Kim Dae Jin and Chef Heang Hae Seong, Seasonal Tastes offers crowd favorites such as Bibimbap, Korean Barbeque, Bulgogi, Gangdoenjang-jjigae and many more.
Hwang Hae Seong (or Charlie Huang) is a chef from JW Marriot Seoul since 2011. After graduated from MIFAFF (Ministry for Food, Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries) Korean Culinary Chef Program, Chef Hwang Hae Seong has received some appreciations from Korea Chefs Association and JW Marriot Seoul. He had also won Bronze medal at International event, Hongkong Culinary HOFEX at 2011, in category of Gourmet Challenge Team.
Kim Dae Jin had been in culinary industry for 18 years with a cook license in Korean Cuisine. Graduated from Eulji University, He managed to lead the Korean food promotion at Reinassance Beijing Hotel successfully in 2014. Start from December 2013, He joined JW Marriott Seoul as main Korean kitchen demi chef de partie.
Opened by Mr. Arun Kumar, General Manager The Westin Jakarta and attended by Madame Gye Young Oh from Embassy of Korea, also guests from Korean Chamber and guests from Culture Associations, the event is opened with traditional dancing, Salpuli and music performance, Samulnori.
The promotion will run until 26 March 2017 with special buffet price Rp. 398.000++ per person for lunch and Rp.448.000++ per person for dinner.
