TEDx in conjunction with Sekolah Pelita Harapan held a [email protected]: Imp(act) on September 15th, 2018 at @america, Pacific Place Jakarta. Invited young speakers from Indonesia who’s coming from various field to talk about creating a positive impact in the world through various works. Hoping that this event will eventually leave a good influence on the audience. As well as sparks some more ideas as an inspiration to people to conduct meaningful acts towards society.

TEDxYouth@SPHOne of the speakers is the renowned Indonesia’s concert pianist and composer, Ananda Sukarlan. He studied music at the Royal Conservatory of Den Haag in the Netherlands. Sukarlan made a growing impact on the music world by being the first Indonesian pianist to reach such a global scale. Some of his most notable pieces include the Rapsodia Nusantara series in which he turns traditional Indonesian tunes into masterful piano solos. In this event, Sukarlan also shared about how to make Indonesia globalized without losing our local identity.
TEDxYouth@SPHThe other speaker was a passionate young politician, Tsamara Amany. She is one of the leaders of the Indonesian Solidarity Party, otherwise also known as PSI (Partai Solidaritas Indonesia). She has studied in the university of Paramadina and is known mostly from the writing that she made regarding President Jokowi, former governor of Jakarta Basuki Tjahaja Purnama, and other political issues. With this being said, she along with two of her friends have also made a political organization that focuses on the rights woman have in politics. Amany spoke about how young people could have a big impact in Indonesia’s community by contributing on politics.
TEDxYouth@SPHThe other speakers presented in this event were Imam Kurniawan (Co-Founder & Managing Director of JogjaSDGs), Josephine Komara (Founder of BINHouse Batik), Last Day Production (Indonesian Youtuber), and Valentine Gandhi (Senior Evaluator and Development Researcher).
