Short term housing in Jakarta For Expats

Website :
There’s no good reason why we (often) can’t provide short-term (under 6 months) here at the Sharehouse… but there are reasons. So let’s say you’re going to be in Jakarta for a couple months to visit friends, study Indonesian, etc. Where are you going to live? In a hotel you’ll be isolated from local culture; but in a kost you’ll hardly be able to host friends from overseas or throw a proper Halloween or Christmas. One answer would be an apart-hotel or serviced apartment. It would ideally provide a safe place for your belongings while you’re outside Jakarta, an alternative to Internet cafes, cooking ability and a smidgen of privacy and independence. Most important – of course – you’d be able to pay month to month. But you’ll end up paying – I’m afraid – hotel rates.
