The National Police have prepared anticipatory measures to secure anti-government rally that is rumored to take place this Friday (25/11), which is expected to gather hundreds of thousands to streets of Jakarta and towards the DPR complex. National Police Chief Gen. Tito Karnavian has said that both the police and the Indonesian Army would work hand in hand to beef up the security throughout the city.
The police also announced the prohibition of using Jakarta’s public streetsfollowing FPI spokesman Habib Rizieq’s statement, which said the Dec. 2 protesters would carry out Friday prayers across the capital’s two main roads, namely Jl. MH Thamrin and Jl. Sudirman, The Jakarta Post reports.
Good news for food lovers who live in BSD! An authentic German restaurant, The DOCKS just opened last week, unveiling a menu full of scrumptious Bavarian style pork selections. The new restaurant sports a fresh look of circa Second World War nautical vibe, complete with antique diving helmets, German submarine replicas, and ‘docks’ style decor. The ground floor ‘The Galley’ is the main restaurant seating area and the 2nd level ‘Midships’ has a pool table, dart boards and live band playing on Friday and Saturday nights. We think this place makes a great stop for you to explore the Serpong area! Check out details of the restaurant in the links below this newsletter.
