SAGA Music Festival, the first locally owned, organized and executed multi-day festival sets to take place in Bali, around the end of the year. This is the first chapter of a journey called ‘The Beginning’, filled with world-class entertainment, art & cultural attractions, culinary bazaar, and other interesting activities.
Bali has long been referred to as the ‘Island of the Gods’ and is well-established as a must-visit destination in Asia. Bali’s music scene has been recently elevated by the entrance of worldwide festival brand’s like Ultra Music Festival and Bestival, but what they’ve been missing is a local touch.
SAGA Music Festival will be running on December 28th and 29th at the monumental Garuda Wisnu Kencana (GWK) Culture Park in Bali, Indonesia. The site, which is just a 15-minute drive from the airport in the Badung Regency area, takes up 240-acres of parkland and is dotted with 25-meter high limestone carved cliffs with the park’s namesake statue, which is one of Bali’s most revered cultural icons, as a centerpiece with the capacity around 45000++ pax.
There are not many festivals in the world that can brag about being held beneath the stars and surrounded by a mesmerizing landmark, and also boasts a line-up featuring by some of the famous stars in electronic music. Spread out over two days on two elaborately designed stages, Balinese landscapes will be filled with the sounds of international talents like Grammy-nominated French artist and producer DJ Snake, French multi-instrumentalist FKJ (French Kiwi Juice), world electro dance music festivals shaker Marc Benjamin, a Grammy-nominated English house DJ/Producer Chris Lake, duo Russian DJ Dropgun who had collaborated with DVBBS ‘s single ‘Pyramids’, Mad Decent’s TWRK, sensational DJ duo Rave Republic – the Singaporean at heart. Representing Indonesia are local loves Dipha Barus, Tenjo, DJ Stan, DJ Jesse Wilde, DJ Yasmin, and ALL IN Resident DJs. Further line-up announcements will be made in the coming months.
