Earth Hour is a worldwide movement organized by the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF). The event is held annually encouraging individuals, communities, and businesses to turn off non-essential electric lights for one hour, from 8:30 to 9:30 pm on a specific day towards the end of March as a symbol of commitment to the planet.
This year, The Sultan Hotel & Residence Jakarta is participating in Earth Hour on Saturday, 24 March 2018 on 8.30 – 9.30 PM by turning off the lights outside the hotel’s building and turning off or dimming the lights in public areas, including main lobby, restaurants, corridor’s light per floor, tennis courts also at The Sultan Residence and its facilities. This Earth Hour, The Sultan Hotel & Residence is encouraging all guests to participate by turning off or reducing the electricity consumption in their guestrooms. The Hotel Management team with team members will light the candles on the 1st floor Lanais Room Terrace roof , making “Sido Mukti” which is hotel’s logo as our show of support for this campaign and to show the fragility of our home-Planet Earth.
