1. Altered Carbon (Series, Sci-Fi)

Set over 300 years in the future, Altered Carbon is a series with intriguing story of murder, love, sex, and betrayal. It shows how new technology transformed the society a lot: consciousness can be digitized; human bodies are interchangeable; death is no longer permanent. The series also focusing on the life of Takeshi Kovacs, the lone surviving soldier in a group of elite interstellar warriors who were defeated in an uprising against the new world order. His mind was imprisoned – on ice – for centuries until Laurens Bancroft, an impossibly wealthy, long-lived man, offers Kovacs the chance to live again. In exchange, Kovacs has to solve a murder … that of Bancroft himself.
2. Seven Seconds (Series, Thriller)
Starring: Clare-Hope Ashitey, Regina King, Beau Knapp
Not only a powerful anthology crime thriller, Seven Seconds also tackles the controversial issues of race relations between law enforcement, the people they serve, and the personal stories of those involved. The series tells the story after a black teenager, Brenton Butler is hit by a white cop and critically injured. How Brenton and his family struggles to find answers and justice in the middle of racial tensions and northeastern city’s attempts to cover up the incident. Seven Seconds also tells the story of black assistant prosecutor assigned for that incident, KJ Harper (Ashitey). She grapples with the weight of the case and what it will mean to bring justice not only for Brenton, but for the Black community.
3. Queer Eye (Variety Show)
Starring: Bobby Berk, Karamo Brown, Tan France
The Emmy Award-winning series, Queer Eye for the Straight Guy (2003) is back this year with more refreshing concept. Netflix will bring the show with modern aesthetic, diverse perspective and brand new fabulous hosts: Antoni Porowski (Food & Wine),Bobby Berk (Interior Design), Karamo Brown (Culture), Jonathan Van Ness (Grooming), and Tan France (Fashion). They will forge relationships with men and women from a wide array of backgrounds and beliefs often contrary to their own. This show is expected to again revolutionize reality show.
