The Westin Jakarta will soon introduce Henshin, an authentic Nikkei experience helmed by Chef Hajime Kasuga, a promoter of the Nikkei cuisine, a perfectly well-balanced combination of the cultures of Japanese food and Peruvian culinary authenticity.
Located on the top three highest floors of The Westin Jakarta, Henshin is a multi-dimensional food and beverage experience as it offers different ambience from the 67th to the 69th floor. Guests will be greeted on the 67th floor where you can enjoy their indoor or alfresco bar that can accomodate up to 90 people. Decorated with colourful tiles, the 67th floor is meant to exude a more lively charm to the brand as a place that celebrates life.
The 68th and 69th floors of Henshin are the main fine-dining area, where all the magic happens as guests can connect with the chefs through its open-kitchen concept. Offering wide arrays of authentic Nikkei cuisine experience, you might want to start your evening with selections of hot or cold appetizers before moving on to mouthwatering main courses such as Ceviche Clasico, a marinated fish in lemon and Peruvian chilli and the signature Henshin roll which is a combination of foie gras, fried shrimp and spicy crab meat roll with unagi and avocado served with Indonikkei sambal.
For a more private dining experience, guests can choose between the two rooms that are located on the 69th floor, one can accomodate up to twenty people and the other is enough for a small team of twelve.
If you are as excited as us about this new restaurant, then you should head to The Westin Jakarta and take the elevator straight from the lobby to the sixty-seventh floor where authentic Nikkei cuisine experience awaits the curious in you. Mark your calendar for their opening on the 20th of July!
