Sharing her experience from Paris Fashion Week 2017, Amanda Indah Lestari and her fashion brand LEKAT has just premiered its first fashion film in collaboration with Wardah, JNE, BNI, Plaza Indonesia, and IFI (Institut Francais Indonesia). The 15-minute film by LEKAT gives a glimpse into a world where the eclectic emphasis is in the meticulous tailoring techniques that trend-style.
A tactical play of shapes and shades from Baduy fabric is the highlight of the film that was created in order to inspire other talented Indonesian designers. LEKAT team stepped into the international capital of Fashion, Paris, in 2017 as the only designer from Indonesia through two-cycle of curations. Together with 6 designers from 6 different countries, LEKAT was showcasing the total of 22 looks at TRANOI and Place Vendome (Paris) to woman and men of fashion icons, influencers, moguls, and media representatives including Christoper McCory and Lupe Castro.
Presenting during Paris Fashion Week is important for LEKAT as the year of 2017 – in Europe and all over the world, is the year of woman’s work, community development and eco-ethical fashion. LEKAT is motivated to contribute, as the work of Amanda Indah Lestari is really about looking forward into the future while taking care of the tradition.
The film premiere at Institut Francais Indonesia Thamrin yesterday has received many exciting feedbacks and many more supporters of the brand. LEKAT plans to bring more of its innovation to more cities and countries in the world this year, something we all excitedly anticipated.
