3. Branché Bistro $$
This bistro is as attractive from the outside, as it is on the inside. Branche blends industrial chic with French sophistication. Sunlight coming through the large glass ceilings, highlights the bronze and dark interior as well as the furniture. The menu is dominantly French, but there are also a few selections of Indonesian, Indian and Asian cuisine. The bar does get livelier through the night too.

4. Sofia at The Gunawarman $$
This place boasts a 21st century neo-classical inspired design with high ceilings, liberal use of wood and leather furniture, mixed with modern pattern and definitely a unmistakable luxurious air. Expect to sit next to who’s who in Jakarta, from celebrities, socialites to politicians when you dine here. But don’t get fooled too quickly, despite the maseratis and ferraris parked up front, the menu is casual and the portions are hearty.

5. Namaaz Dining $$$$
For a more playful and adventurous selection of fine dining with your significant other; head to Namaaz is the first molecular gastronomy restaurant in Indonesia which serves Indonesian food as its signature dishes. Each night, Tuesday to Saturday, you can experience their set of 17 course creations, which changes every “season” and each season lasts for 6 – 8 months. Emilie remains at the top of our list for Jakarta’s best french restaurant. Emilie’s classic French dishes are hard to fault. They are committed to using seasonal ingredients and traditional recipes. With interiors resembling an elegant modern luxury home, the venue manages to feel cozy and chic at the same time. Emilie creates traditional fine dining fare using the finest imported ingredients, such as sea bass and other seafood from the famed Tsukiji Market in Japan, French Imperial Blood pigeon, and “Baeri” sturgeon caviar.

A bar celebrating alternative cultures & phenomena, LOLA is an eclectic venue involved in Tiki Cocktail, southern-style dinner, marginal music, and exotic ventures. 8. PAO PAO Liquor Bar & Dim Sum Parlour $$
As the name implies, Pao Pao this place is a liquor bar and serving all kind of dim sum accompanies live band performances during weekends. This place has quite unique setting with their old Shanghai concept.

9. Attarine $$
Attarine, a brand new restaurant by one of the main players in Jakarta’s lifestyle constellation, The Potato Head group, is Jakarta’s youngest dining spot, located in one of the trendiest neighborhood of Gunawarman street. It has probably one of the most uncommon fusion of menu around, not limited to a certain region or taste. The restaurant’s decor is pretty cool too, which includes an actual classic car right in the middle of the restaurant as a centerpiece!
10. The Holy Crab $$
Looking for a place where you can just be yourself and have unlimited seafood fun, where you can smash, pick, prod and play with your food? 12. Gioi $$
A restaurant in Senopati that takes the label ‘farm to table’ very seriously. Serving mostly a fusion of Southeast Asian and Indonesian flavours, GIOI sources their vegetable from their own farm. We also love what they’ve done classic Indonesian dishes, such as their signature Salmon Lodeh (a traditional Indonesian coconut milk soup with pan fried salmon) and the Roast Duck Curry – Home made Thai curry, juicy and tender Sous Vide Duck breast, served with locally-sourced carrot, green tomato and eggplant. Must try!

With two sites currently operating in Jakarta and Singapore, Three Buns redefines the neighborhood burger and cocktail joint with a more upscale crowd. Their menu of burgers are the creation of Chef Adam Penney, brought from London, made with home made sauces, pickles and even ketchup!.
